Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients were American Society of Anaesthesiologists physical status II to IV, aged between 40- 65 year, New York Heart Association classification of cardiac function I to III, ejection fraction less than 40%, no history of nervous system disease and normal audition.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: hypertensive disease, coronary artery disease, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, infective endocarditis, hematogenic and immune systemic disease; perioperative steroid therapy; presence of any contraindication to the use of propofol or sevoflurane
