Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The pathological diagnosis of adenocarcinoma; 2. The tumor located within 15cm from the dentate line; 3. Not invade to adjacent tissues or organs; 4. No distant organ metastasis; 5. older than 18 years of age; 6. body mass index (BMI) = 34kg/m2; 7. ECOG score =3.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA classification> Grade III; 2. Pneumoperitoneum contraindications (such as severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction); 3. The history of pelvic malignancy within 5 years ; 4. Acute intestinal obstruction; 5. meet the criteria of transanal excision of T1 rectal cancer patients; 6. underwent multiple laparotomy or abdominal adhesions widely; 7. familial adenomatous polyposis, Lynch syndrome-related rectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease in patients with active period.
