Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Willing to sign a consent form; 2. ageD 18 to 75 years male and female; 3. a variety of reasons causing liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension; 4. Child - Pugh class B or C for at least 1 month or more.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. one of these complications happened in 1month: severe hepatic encephalopathy, upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage or spontaneous bacterial peritonitis and so on; 2. HBV >1000 copy/ml; 3. obvious renal impairment (serum creatinine =2 mg/dL or glomerular filtration rate GFR < 40 mL/min); 4. confirmed or suspected malignant tumor (including primary liver cancer); The AFP =20 ng/ml or have to exclude the liver tumor by CT; 5. infected by HIV; 6. have obvious heart and lung disease; 7. rifaximin allergy; 8. pregnancy or do not exclude the possibility pregnancy; 9. researchers consider not suitable for the participants.
