Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Diagnosis is schizophrenia according to the DSM-IV criteria (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition) based on the SCID-I interview (Structured Clinical Interview for DSMIV axis I Disorder); (2) Male and female Han people aged 18 and 60 years old; (3) Informed consents are obtained from all subjects before the study, which have been approved by the local research ethics committee.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with neurological illness, substance use and alcohol dependence were not recruited; (2) Patients with the following severe diseases were not recruited, including serious diseases of the nervous system, cardiovascular diseases, malignant tumor, immunocompromised, granulocytopenia, acute and chronic renal failure, liver cirrhosis or active liver disease, etc.; (3) Patients who has recived the treatment of antipsychotic drugs before the study were not recruited.
