Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. aged 18~80 years; 2. an acute ischemic stroke proven by initial diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI); 3. an initial MRI within 2 hours of emergency admission and treatment with insulin within 3 hours of emergency admission(onset of symptoms less than 12 hours); 4. Type 2 diabetes with capillary blood glucose =7.0mmol/L on admission,or undiagnosed of diabetes with capillary blood glucose =8.3mmol/L on admission; 5. an admission score on the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) between 3 and 22(motor scores =2) 6. Modified Rankin Scale(mRS) is zero prior to the onset; 7. Sign informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Type 1 diabetes mellitus; 2. patient has contraindication of MRI(Metallic Implants Claustrophobia unconsciousness); 3. patient who has joined another drug clinical trial; 4. patients with severe neuroses or psychoses which can influence the clinical assessment; 5. life-threatening conditions that can not survive more than 90 days; 6. patients with kidney disease who need hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis; 7. pregnancy; 8. refuse this trial plan and to follow up 90days.
