Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients awaiting cataract surgery with or without hypertension

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Allergies to anesthetics, recently used painkillers, and patients with Parkinsons disease (shaking head), cognitive impairment, dementia, uncontrolled blood pressure or blood glucose (>160/90 mmHg or 8.3 mmol/L, respectively) were excluded. Patients with thyroid disease, rheumatic heart disease, and other systemic diseases were also excluded.
