Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. In the Department of orthopedics, general surgery, Department of Urology, to prepare for surgery 2. Aged between 25 and 70 years, fasting plasma glucose (FPG) > 8 mmol/L or postprandial plasma glucose >12mmol/L, and postprandial plasma glucose.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. type 1 diabetes, gestational diabetes or diabetes with an identifiable secondary cause; 2. significant renal impairment (estimated creatinine clearance <50 ml/min) or elevated alanine or aspartate aminotransferase (ALT or AST, respectively); 3. occurrence of any acute complications of diabetes; 4. patients who need an emergency surgery; and 5. other patients whom the investigator judged to be inappropriate for the study.
