Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Community-dwelling women with natural menopause duration> 10 years, amenorrhea at least 12 months (T score betwean -2.0 and -2.4), 55 to 69 years of age were invited to participate in the present study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: We excluded women who had been diagnosed as having a neurological or musculoskeletal disorder, or coexisting chronic diseases, or long-term medications could affect results assessment, as well as the patients who have taken estrogen and calcitonin, or fluoride, bisphosphonates,adrenocortical hormone in one year could affect results assessment. Women were also excluded if one of these following abnormal lab evaluations was found: 1) alanine aminotransferase (ALT) or aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels greater than 50% of upper normal limit; and 2) serum creatinine levels greater than 133ummol/L or 1.5 mg/dL.
