Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged 18 to 70 years old, male or female; Chronic basis ACLF liver failure, diagnosis and treatment in line with the program (2012 edition) diagnostic criteria; reference to the 2004 Chinese Medical Association Medical Branch to develop a "viral TCM standards"

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Severe acute, sub-acute severe hepatitis; combined hepatitis A virus (HAV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), hepatitis E virus (HEV) or human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, autoimmune liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, drug-induced liver disease or in patients with liver cancer; pregnant or lactating women; with severe heart and lung disease, primary kidney disease, other serious systemic illness and the mentally ill; that is combined admission fatal complications, such as stage III and more hepatic encephalopathy, the brain edema, serious infections (including septic shock, deep fungal infections, two or more sites of infection, superinfection), hepatorenal syndrome, gastrointestinal bleeding and so on.
