Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients with age more than 18 years old; (2) patients were diagnosis with thyroid disease needed surgery: lobe thyroidectomy or total thyroidectomy; (3) Patients voluntary to participate in this study;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with age younger than 18 years old; (2) Patients with preoperarive anti-vomit or anti-cough drugs usage; (3) Patients with history of depression or chronic pain or I/II diabete or with severe vomit; (4) Pregnant woman; (5) Patients with surgical history of neck or thyroid; (6) Patients with history of allergy for dexamethasone; (7) Patients needed operation on sternum; (8) Patients with history of I131 radiation; (9) Patients with long term useage of steroid or immune suppression; (10) Patients with preoperative voice change or confirmed vocal paralysis; (11) Patients needed dissection of lateral neck lymph node; (12) Patients with other cancers; (13) Patients with no willing to participate in this study; (14) Patients with hypothyroidism.
