Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) an infertility medical diagnosis (either primary infertility or secondary infertility); (2) planned, elective salpingoplasty; (3) Mandarin-speaking: able to speak, read and write in Chinese; (4) voluntary participation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) no indication for salpingoplasty treatment; (2) illiterate or below primary school education; and (3) psychiatric disorders or cognitive and behavioral barriers.
