Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with acute pancreatitis: showing 2 of the following three features: (1)acute upper abdominal pain; (2)serum amylase or lipase increased 3 times more than normal maximum level; (3)with characteristics of acute pancreatitis on computed tomography, MRI or transabdominal ultrasonography; 2. Admission within 48h from the onset of symptoms; 3. Age: >18 years old; 4. Showing 1 of the followings: (1)APACHE II score=8; (2)massive peripancreatic fluid collection on CT scan; 5. Patients voluntarily signed the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Gastric retention presenting from clinical symptom, physical signs or abdominal CT examination; 2. Women in pregnancy or lactation; 3. Patients with severe diseases of heart, lung, brain or kidney; 4. Patients with other severe digestive diseases, such as cirrhosis, esophageal varices, peptic ulcer, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, malignant tumors; 5. Patients with drug abuse, psychinosis.
