Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients aged 60-79 years old who have signed a written informed consent form recieving orthopedic surgeries.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists risk classification more than III; Patients with a history of symptomatic cerebrovascular disease (eg. stroke with a residual deficit)or psychiatric illness; alcoholism (more than 2 drinks/day); patients are unable to read or listen and thus unable to complete the cognitive testing or who score less than 23 on a baseline MMSE;renal dysfunction (serum creatinine>177µmol/l).
