Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia (operation time less than 2h); 2. ASA class I-II; 3. Children weighing 5-30kg, 2 months to 11 years of age.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. patients electing for surgery in the non-supine position; 2. patients with a history of morbid obesity, and at risk of pulmonary aspiration (nonfasted, gastroesophageal reflux, tracheoesophageal fistula); 3. known and possible difficult airway; 4. Children with active respiratory illness (cough, fever, rhinorrhoea).
