Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects included in this clinical trial were in good general and oral health and had six caries-free vital maxillary anterior teeth free of restorations. The subjects should be 18 to 35 years old. The subjects should be non-smokers. The anterior teeth should have no recession or dentin exposure. The scores of the anterior teeth judging by Schiff cold air sensitivity scale are no more than 1.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were as follows: having undergone previous tooth-whitening or professional tooth-sensitivity treatments; having facial restorations; being pregnant or lactating; having severe internal tooth discoloration (as a result of tetracycline stains, fluorosis or pulpless teeth); using of desensitizing toothpaste in the 1 month period prior to the trial.
