Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. pathologically confirmed diagnosis of gastric cancer; 2. received partial or total gastrectomy; 3. received the first session of postoperative chemotherapy at our center; 4. 18 or more years of age; 5. could understand and answer questions. All patients provided written informed consent. The study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of our hospital.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) history of mental disorder; 2) unaware of their cancer diagnosis; 3) severe heart, liver or other organ dysfunction.
