Interventions

A Low dose group:Supplemented with 1.8 mg all-trans ß-carotene daily for 4 months
B Middle dose group:Supplemented with 3.6 mg all-trans ß-carotene daily for 4 months
C High dose group:Supplemented with 5.4 mg all-trans ß-carotene daily for 4 months
D Control group:Supplemented with 0 mg all-trans ß-carotene daily for 4 months

24 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Generally healthy adults free from acute and chronic diseases with BMI ranged from 18.5 to 28.0kg/m2, middle school education degree or higher, and normal CPR (< 5mg/L).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Having habit of smoking and drinking. Having received any nutritional supplement during the 1 month before recruitment.
