40 Years to 79 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age 40 to 79; (2) To fit the diagnostic criteria of chronic heart failure; (3) NYHA Class II to IV; (4) Corresponded with the TCM syndrome differentiation criteria of both qi- yin deficiency.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age below 40 or above 79; 2. BNP less than 200pg/mL; 3. Acute heart failure; 4. Those diagnosed with one of the following diseases: (1) Acute myocardial infarction within 4 weeks; (2) Pulmonary heart disease; (3) Severe valvular heart disease; (4) Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy; (5) Congenital heart disease; (6) Acute pulmonary embolism; (7) Pre-excitation syndrome; (8) Stroke within 6 months; (9) Acute myocarditis; 5. Those who suffered from severe hepatic or renal impairment; 6. Those with severe endocrine diseases such as hyperthyroidism; 7. Those with severe anemia, hemoglobin (HB) less than 9g/dl; 8. Those with mental disorder; 9. Those women who are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding; 10. Those who participated in other studies within the past 2 months.
