Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Preterm infants born between 260/7 and 306/7 weeks of gestation developed respiratory distress syndrome and needed nCPAP ventilation shortly after birth were enrolled in this study. Thedefinition of respiratory distress syndrome were respiration rate >60/min, retraction, grunting and chest X ray showed low lung volume with reticulo granularity or air bronchogram. Neonates requiring intubation at birth or major congenital malformation were excluded.
