18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing first-time elective CABG with good or only slightly reduced left ventricular function (ejection fraction>40%; left ventricular end diastolic pressure <15mmHg) and aged <70 year.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients requiring extra corporeal circulation either electively or during the course of the operation; renal insufficiency (creatinine >1.5 mg/dL), hepatic impairment (alanine aminotransferase or aspartate aminotransferase >40 U/mL), misuse of alcohol or drugs.
