16 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Having only 1 active trigger point in one side of upper trapezius muscle (the identify of MTrPs was determined following Travell and Simons criteria; 2. A duration of symptoms of at least six months; 3. Aged between 16 and 60 years; 4. Ruled out other potential causes of their symptoms other than upper trapezius muscle MTrPs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) A history of cervical disc hernia, radiculopathy, myelopathy, fibromyalgia, whiplash, surgeries or trigger point injections in the previous 6 months; (2) Concomitant painful disorders, psycho emotional distress and other factors.
