Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. pre-operative GCS = 3~8; 2. TCDB = 4; 3. the patients who underwent emergency craniotomy evacuation of hematomas for acutesevere trauma brain injury induced by blunt force trauma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. severe cardiac, pulmonary, hepatic, or renal dysfunction; 2. a history of dementia or prior central nervous system (CNS) disease; 3. > 24 h after admission.
