Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged 18-40 years, with singleton, cephalic, term (>37-weeks gestation) pregnancy, and required labor analgesia were selected

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included contraindication for epidural anesthesia (coagulation disorders, infection of the involved site, lumbar disk protrusion and rachiterata), full cervical dilatation and extreme obesity (BMI?32).
