Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants comprised 30 right-handed inpatients with a diagnosis of schizophrenia according to CCMD-III; 18-45 years old; year of education >9 years or above; a history of at least three acute episodes, now medically stable.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were alcohol or substance dependence; neurological disorders; visual of hearing impairment; and a history of brain trauma, seizures, or neurosurgery; Body Dysmorphic Disorder; non-cooperation patients.
