Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Meeting the diagnosis of TCM syndrome:According to Guiding Principles of Clinical Studying Technology on therapy of Primary Osteoporosis with New Chinese medicine: Back pain is the compulsory symptom complicated by the following two symptoms and subsided by tongue and pulse: 1) for liver and kidney insufficiency, it's characterized by back pack and soreness and weakness as primary symptoms and incapable of holding heavy stuff, dizziness and slightly red or pale tongue as secondary symptoms; 2) for kidney yang deficiency, it's characterized by pain or soreness of back as primary symptom, fatigue, weakness, cold limbs loose feces, clear urine, frequent nocturia, pale and tender tongue, white coating, deep delayed or thread weak pulse. 2. Female, aged over 45 yrs old, 2 yrs of natural menopause or above; 3. DEXA BMD T=-2.5~-5.0; 4. Signing the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. naturally menopaused less than 2 yrs; 2. Associated bone metabolism related co-morbidity, such as endocrine diseases (e.g., gonadal, adrenal, thyroid grands diseases,ect.), immunological disease such as rheumatoid arthritis, calcium and vitamin D digestive and absorbent related digestive and renal diseases. malgnant diseases such as multiple myeloma,bone metabolism affected drugs such as glucocorticoid hormone or others; 3. Malignant tumor, cardiac and cerebral vascular diseases, liver, kidney diseases, or severe disorders of other systems; 4. Antiosteoporotic medication within six months; 5. Those taken bone metabolism impacted drugs; 6. Contraindicated to MR scanning: Aneurysm clip,embedding nerve stimulator, cardiac pacemaker, automatic defibrillator,cochlea electrode embedment, or visual body sensation; 7. Alcoholic and drug abuse, or addiction within 1 year; 8. Later disability and deformity; 9. Unable to adhere to the treatment.
