Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The patients were diagnosed with EGC without distant metastasis by pathological examination before the surgery. Moreover, the lesion was confined to the the mucosa or submucosa according to the Japanese Classification of Gastric Carcinoma established by the Japanese Research Society for Gastric Cancer 4; 2. The patients had not underwent any surgeries before the study; 3. The patients were evaluated with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grades I–II (no life-threatening systemic diseases); 4. The patients were free from contraindications for laparoscopy and gastroscope; 5. All the patients or their family members signed the informed consents before the surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The patients who were less than 18 years were excluded from the present study.
