Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Critically ill patients that admit into ICU of the first affiliate hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. Septic patients were identified byu the American College of Chest Physicians/Society of Critical Care Medicine Consensus Criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with immunosuppressive diseases mainly including cancer and HIV infection or patients with receiving immunosuppressive therapy and patients who were already in ICU for many days and became septic secondary.
