Mirror therapy group:conventional stroke rehabilitation therapy+mirror therapy training
Mirror therapy + Neuromuscular electrical stimulation group:conventional stroke rehabilitation therapy+mirror therapy training+neuromuscular electrical stimulation treatment

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) first episode of unilateral stroke with hemiparesis; (2) at least one month since the event; (3) a spasticity value of more than 1 and lower than 4 on the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS); (4) a score between 3 and 5 (inclusive) on the Functional Ambulation Categories; (5) the ability to understand and follow simple verbal instructions.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) any pre-existing neurological disorder other than stroke; (2) any psychological or medical condition that would affect the patients ability to comply with the study protocol; (3) impaired vision or aphasia; (4) fixed contracture of the ankle or foot.
