18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18 to 80 years; 2. Willing to follow with the study protocol; 3. Diagnosed with MGD; 4. Standard Patient Evaluation for Eye Dryness (SPEED) score = 6; 5. Meibomian gland secretion score = 12 for 15 glands of the lower lid; 6. Complete the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant or breastfeeding woman; 2. Standard Patient Evaluation for Eye Dryness (SPEED) score = 15; 3. Meibomian gland dropout area of any lower lid = 50%; 4. Any co-existing ocular conditions that could interfere with dry eye (e.g. use of systemic antihistamines, anti-inflammatory drugs, or corticosteroids); 5. Any co-existing ocular conditions that could interfere with treatment (e.g. Fitzpatrick skin type VI).
