Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. solid nodule or predominantly (>20%)solid nodule; 2. maximum diameter of the largest nodule > 4cm, other nodules' maxmimum diameter =18years; 6. nodules according to one of the following items below: (1) nodules increased significantly (volume increases more than 50% within 1 year,or at least two diameters of the nodule increase over 20% and it more than 2 mm long]); (2) patients with nodules significantly related symptoms (such as: foreign body sensation, neck discomfort or pain); (3) nodules obviously convex affect the appearance and require treatment; (4) ideological concerns of patients too heavy to affect normal life and denial of clinical observation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. the follicular nodules; 2. abnormal founction of contralateral vocal cord; 3. severe coagulation disorders; 4. severe cardiac or pulmonary disease, too poor to tolerate operation; 5. pregnancy status; 6. large calcification that affect the observation of the nodules; 7. along with hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.
