Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. both male and female who aged>=18 years old; 2. Clinical and histological diagonsis of erosive oral lichen planus on the basis of WHO criteria; 3. lesion area<=3cm2; 4. the ability to recognize pain.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. pregnancy or lactation; 2. histological signs of dysplasia; 3. accompanized with other oral mucosa diseases; 4. individuals who had taken antibiotics during last 1 month or immunosuppressive agents during last 3 months; 5. drug or dental amalgam related lichenoid reaction; 6. individuals who have systemic disorders including autoimmune diseases, diabetis, HCV or tumor that associated with lichen planus; 7. inability to complete the present study.
