Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. aged above 18 years old; 2. biopsy proven rectal cancer lower edge located in the place from anal edge>=7 cm; 3. Selection of operative treatment; 4. residents in Yangzhou or the districts around

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. patients who refuse to participate in this study; 2. patients with past complicated abdomen operation history,Not suitable for laparoscopic surgery; 3. concomitant other cancers; 4. the presence of non resectable distant metastases; 5. unresectable by one-stage operation; 6. neoadjuvant treatment; 7. preventive enterostomy.
