Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Pathologically confirmed nasopharyngeal carcinoma, WHO grade II/III; 2. With measurable lesion before radiotherapy; 3. No distant metastasis; 4. Not previously irradiated; 5. Able to receive contrast MRI and/or CT scan; 6. Aged 14 - 80 year-old; 7. ECOG: 0-2; 8. Anticipated survival time >= 12 months; 9. With sufficient major organ functions; 10.Willing to sign informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Metal implants that might significantly influence the radiation dose distribution; 2. Dose constrains for organs-at-risk are beyond acceptable limit; 3. With comorbidities/conditions that might influence the effectiveness of carbon-ion therapy; 4. Pregnant or within lactation period; 5. Drug/alcohol addiction; 6. With mental disorder that might impede the completion of therapy.
