DEX: a loading dosage of dexmedetomidine (0.5 ug/Kg) was infused introvenously 10 min before anesthesia and followed continously at0.5 ug/Kg/h for 2h

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 60 patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I/II, 18~65 years, male or female, body mass index under 30 kg/m2 were scheduled for open surgery for colorectal cancer under general anesthesia were enrolled in this prospective, double-blind, controlled trial.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Severe cardiovascular disease; (2) Significant renal or hepatic impairment; (3) History of drug and alcohol abuse; (4) Patients cannot cooperation; (5) Allergies to dexmedetomidine; (6) Taking clonidine or other alpha 2 agonists; (7) Heart failure, myocardial infarction; (8) Preoperative heart rate is less than 45 bpm, II or III degree atrioventricular block; (9) People with mental illness; (10) patients with long-term use of sedative and analgesic drug; (11) patients with blood loss more than 600ml or secondary operation.
