Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) diagnostic criteria for depression in the Fourth Edition (CCMD-3) of the Third Edition and the diagnostic and Statistical Manual of mental disorders and diagnostic and Statistical Manual of mental disorders (DSM-); (2) Aged from 18 to 70; (3) HAMD between 20 to 35; (4) for the first visit with insomnia complaints; (5) Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) score of >7; (6) Sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) secondary depression caused by organic disease or drug; (2) depressive episodes of bipolar affective disorder, severe mood disorder, depressive disorder, and other disease states; (3) secondary depressive disorder of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders; (4) evidence of alcohol or other substance dependence or abuse; (5) brain organic disease or other severe somatic diseases; (6) women in pregnancy or lactation.
