Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The children who is snoring and the polysomnorgraphy show that OAHI>1. Since adenotonsillar tissue cannot be obtained from normal children due to ethical reasons, patients with recurrent infectious tonsillitis (at least 5 tonsillar infections <6 months) but without snoring were selected as controls before surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: the presence of craniofacial, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, or genetic disordors; use of corticosteroids, antibiotics or leukotriene receptor antagonists(LTRAs) within 4 weeks; and previous AT.
