Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients (ASA I-III) for general anaesthesia were enroll-ed in the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: age younger than 18 years; had risk factors for gastric aspiration; increased intracranial pressure; and obesity (BMI greater than 35); relevant drug allergy; abnormalities of the upper airway, polyps, tumours, abscesses, inflammation, or foreign bodies in the upper airway
