Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: aged between 40 and 70 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Cases with a history of treatment interfering with bone and calcium metabolism, such as estrogen, calcitonin, bisphosphonates, vitamin D metabolites, were excluded. Patients with specific diseases (including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Cushing’s syndrome, hypogonadism, primary hyperparathyroidism, cirrhosis, malignancy) or other acute or chronic diseases (including renal, hepatic and endocrine diseases), or scoliosis or ectopic calcifications known to affect bone and calcium metabolism, were also excluded.
