30 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Male or female,30 years old to 80 years of age; 2. MSA patients are recruited meeting the diagnostic criteria by Gilman et al in 2008(Gilman S, Wenning GK, Low PA, et al.Second consensus statement on the diagnosis of multiple system atrophy. Neurology, 2008,71:670-676), while PD the diagnostic criteria by United Kingdom Parkinson's Disease Society brain bank (UKPDBB); 3. Disease duration is no less than 6 months; 4. Image control group(IC) consists of counterpart individuals with no organic brain disease.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Exclusion criteria from Gilman's diagnostic criteria for MSA and UKPDBB's diagnostic criteria for PD; 2. Primary psychiatric disorders.3. Uncooperative conditions such as disorders of consciousness, severe cognitive impairment; 4. Severe dysfuction of liver, kidney, heart or multiple organ dysfunction; 5. Patients with heart pacemaker; 6. Metal objects in vivo which is contraindication for MRI; 7. Communication difficulties such as the deaf and the dumb; 8. Conditions unavailable for electrophysiological examination such as infection around the anus or the urethra; 9. Sphincter dysfunction presenting with voiding dysfunction or anal incontinence due to sacral cord lesions.
