Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Sex: balance between males andfemales. Age range: All subjects should be at least 25 years for ESH or as required by BHS. Heart rhythm: Sinus rhythm unless the device is being validated for arrhythmias. Blood pressure range: the numbers of subjects in each of the SBP andDBP recruitment ranges in accordance with the protocol.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Blood pressure ranges complete; Poor quality sounds; Range adjustment; Arrhythmias; Cuff size unavailable; Observer disagreement; Device failure; Distribution; andOthers.
