Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients in tuberculous pleurisy group should be consistent with clinical diagnostic standard; and the control group subjects should have pathological diagnosis of malignant pleural effusion; 2. The extraction quantity of pleural effusion is over 100ml in localizable cases; 3. Aged between 18 to 65 years; 4. HIV(-).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Tuberculous empyema; 2. Being too weakness to withstand the thoracentesis.
