34 Years to 58 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All type 2 diabetic patients meet the standard of the diagnosis and classification of type 2 diabetic, which made by the ADA in 1997. They are at the age between 20 and 65 without severe acute or chronic complications of diabetes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria included having such diseases in the last 6 months: 1. Hematological diseases; 2. Cancer and other chronic wasting diseases such as tuberculosis and thyroidism; 3. Infectious diseases; 4. Liver disease or transaminases increased for more than 3 times; 5. Kidney disease (creatinine=1.5mg/dl) or rheumatoid arthritis; 6. Valve replacement, cardiac function class III or above according to the NYHA; 7. Bleeding history, blood donation or blood transfusion within 4 months; 8. Smokers; 9. Impaired pulmonary function; 10. Pregnancy; 11. Application of drug which could affect the lifespan of RBC, such as ribavirin, barbital or phenobarbitone sodium. Women patients should avoid the menstrual period when monitoring RBC lifespan.
