Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients who were consecutively admitted to the hospital for biliary tract obstruction were enrolled in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion for the study were: patients aged 38 degree C) or had abdominal pain at admitted time, patients were treated without operation, patients with positive blood culture and patients who accepted antibiotics therapy within 2 weeks before the admission or patients who accepted antibiotics therapy before their bile sample were obtained.
