Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy volunteers: None had symptoms or a past history of significant gastrointestinal disease, nor was any participant taking medication. All subjects underwent a physical examination prior to the ERCP and laboratory studies to exclude hepatic, biliary, pancreatic, or systemic disorders that might alter gastrointestinal motility. No volunteer had a history of biliary surgery, gastric surgery. Gallbladder ultrasound was normal in all subjects; 2. The patients: All the participants have upper abdominal pain of suspected biliopancreatic origin which complied with the Rome diagnostic criteria of SO dysfunction. None of these patients had evidence of oesophago-gastro-duodenal disease, choledochal lithiasis, or pancreatic alterations at ERCP. None had undergone surgery on the upper gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, or biliary tract with the exception of cholecystectomy. None took medication in three days.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The patients with severe systemic disease; 2. The participants who taking any medication in three days is not included; 3. The patient who can't complete the course of ERCP is exclude.
