18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18 years and more; 2. Patients complained GERD symptoms, while healthy control not; 3. Patients with established GERD did not want to take proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) for long time, or could not to tolerate the medications and wish to receive anti-reflux surgery treatment; 4. Patients were consent to the project.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients were accompained with central nervous system disease, connective tissue diseases, autoimmune disease (e.g., scleroderma), coagulation dysfunction, or collagen vascular disease; 2. Patients had underwent surgery treatment for esophageal or gastric diseases, and had esophageal stricture or short esophagus; 3. Patients could not tolerate esophageal high resolution manometry or 24-h impedence PH monitoring; 4. Patients with achalsaia or malignant gastrointestinal tumor; 5. Patients had peptic ulcer or severe cardiovascular diseases; 6. Patients refused to take part in the program.
