Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Individuals who presented with abdominal pain or abdominally localized signs of acute pancreatitis, had features of acute pancreatitis based on CT/MRI scan diagnosis, and had serum amylase/lipase levels at least three times above the upper normal limit.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were defined as follows: 1) acute pancreatitis complicated with cancer and chronic wasting disease like hepatocirrhosis; 2) absence of clinical information and those with poor CT/MRI images; 3) acute attack of chronic pancreatitis; 4) there was a delay of more than 48 h from onset of abdominal pain and hospitalization.
