No minimum to 18 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) During the summer outbreaks of JE; 2) Having clinical presentation of encephalitis:high fever,headache,vomiting,convulsion,altered consciousness; 3) Laboratory confirmed: JE virus-specific immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibody in serum or cerebrospinal fluid is positive by IgM-capture ELISA; 4) The course of illness is within 1 week.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Due to the severity of the disease, acute stage is not suitable for lumbar puncture
