Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Outpatient/Inpatient with bipolar disorder (type I or II) according to the DSM-V; 2. Patients who first episode as bipolar depression, or patients with bipolar disorder who stopped medication for at least 3 months.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Suffered the following physical diseases within a year:cardiovascular disease, endocrine disease (diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, etc.), obesity, digestive system diseases (liver cirrhosis, fatty liver, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, etc.), substance abuse and so on; (2) A history of antibiotics, probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics or yoghurt use within a month; (3) Infectious state (bacteria, fungi, and viruses).
