Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion criteria of ulcerative colitis: (1) Accord with diagnostic criteria of ulcerative colitis, activity or remission; (2) Male and female, aged between 18-65 years; (3) Informed consent is signed. 2. Inclusion criteria of healthy volunteers: (1) Healthy volunteers who have a check-up in Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM; (2) Male and female, aged between 18-65; (3) Informed consent is signed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Exclusion criteria of ulcerative colitis: (1) Subject with bacillary dysentery, Amoebic dysentery, Chronic schistosomiasis, Tuberculosis of the intestines and Crohn's disease, Ischemic colitis, Radiation enteritis; (2) Subject with serious complications such as Local stenosis, Intestinal obstruction, Intestinal perforation, Toxic colon dilatation, Bleeding, Colon Cancer, Colorectal cancer; (3) Subject with other primary or secondary infectious diseases, such as cholecystitis and pneumonia; (4) Subjects with severe disease of heart, liver, cholecyst, lung, kidney and blood system; (5) Woman who is pregnant. Woman who is breast-feeding baby; (6) Patients with disabilities in law. 2. Exclusion criteria of healthy volunteers: (1) Subject with primary or secondary infectious diseases,such as cholecystitis and pneumonia; (2) Subject with a family history of Inflammatory bowel disease; (3) Subjects with severe disease of heart, liver, cholecyst, lung, kidney and blood system; (4) Woman who is pregnant. Woman who is breast-feeding baby; (5) Patients with disabilities in law.
