Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients older than 40 years of age with calcific aortic valve disease.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: child-bearing potential without contraception, active or chronic liver disease, a history of alcohol or drug abuse, statin therapy.
